Unfortunate Incidents
A second incident has occured involving the destruction of a propeller on an aircraft equipped with a CAMDrive 500 PSRU.
The first case is pictured here:
As a result of a landing gear failure, all four blades of this propeller were destroyed. The CAMDRIVE 500 PSRU was returned to Firewall Forward Aero Engines for inspection. We are happy to announce that the tests showed no damage of any kind occured as a result of this unfortunate accident. A clean bill of health!
In mid-October, the CAMDrive 500 involved in the second propeller destruction was brought back to Firewall Forward Aero Engines personally by the owner. He was able to see first hand the condition of all the components; gears, bearings, shafts and splines, during the disassembly and inspection.
His parting remarks were that now he could resume flying with full confidence in the ruggedness and reliability of his CAMDrive 500 gear reduction unit.
In both cases endorsement without qualification by the owners of what we at Firewall Forward Aero Engines are proud to offer as the finest 500 horsepower PSRU available anywhere.
